AGE. OF. SUMMER.
On September 10, 2025, Balenciaga unveils a collection of 10 fragrances that transcend eras—through fusion and tension that move beyond traditional olfactive perfumery.
This rebirth of a lost icon began with a 15-year search by the House’s archivists, culminating in the rediscovery of a forgotten perfume bottle from 1947: the first fragrance created by Cristóbal Balenciaga, Le Dix.
Scanned to match every detail, the faithfully reproduced refillable flacons— featuring a glass globular cap and handtied ribbon - are encased in packaging etched with the patina of age. Using modern industrial technology to evoke a timelapse of history, this deliberate aging lends character to a collection defined by contrasts and dualities. The fragrance box revives the original design of Le Dix, its logotype resurfacing on the exterior, nestled within Balenciaga’s signature industrial grey packaging—a metaphor for the fusion of past and present, and a testament to the trace of time. Made, sealed, and packaged in France.
The collection is available in a variety of formats. Objects and sets include Les Dix— a set of miniature flacons arranged in rows like the guests at a Balenciaga couture show; the Discovery Box—designed for portability and exploration of the collection; the refillable Travel Spray with its chrome-finished cylindrical case and magnetized closure; and the Refill—used to easily replenish both the flacons and the Travel Spray.
